Oscar Rexford Corbin

OSCAR REXFORD CORBIN, age 91 of Catlett, Virginia died Sunday, June 8, 2003 at Oaks Springs of Warrenton. Mr. Corbin was born in Fauquier County December 1, 1911 son of the late Rex and Katie Ennis Corbin. He was a founding member of Catlett Assembly of God Church, Catlett where he served on the deacon board for 45 years. He retired from Prince William County Government in 1982 after 27 years of service. Survivors include his loving wife of 71 years, Letha Hensley Corbin, seven children, Oscar Lewis Corbin, of Nokesville, Arthur Rexford Corbin, of Culpeper, Oliver H. Corbin, of Catlett, Talmadge M. Corbin, of Unionville, Charlotte L. Kidd, of Nokesville, Faith E. Scalici, of Catlett and Rebekah Lynn Beahm, of Narrows, two sisters, Gladys Golden and Adine Guyer, both of Maryland, two brothers, Welton Corbin and David Corbin, both of Nokesville, 22 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, 33 great-great grandchildren and 12 great-great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 11, 2003 at Price Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, June 12, 2003 at Catlett Assembly of God, 9250 Prospect Avenue, Catlett with Rev. Gilbert Foster officiating. Interment will follow at Catlett Cemetery, Catlett.
