Oscar Ernest DeWitt II

Mr. Oscar Ernest DeWitt, II, age 71 of Douglas, GA passed away Thursday May 8, 2025 at Vista Park Health and Rehabilitation following a recent decline in his health. Mr. DeWitt was born July 16, 1953 in Savannah, GA to the late Oscar E. DeWitt, Sr. and the late Barbara Jean Carter Vaughn.
Mr. DeWitt had been employed with Georgia Power for a number of years. He was also a self employed musician.
Survivors include 4 Children: Gabriel DeWitt, Oscar E. DeWitt, III, of Ambrose, GA,; Samantha Smith of Rincon, GA, Ashley DeWitt of Douglas, GA; 1 Sister, Gwen DeWitt Ames of Dublin, OH; 7 Grandchildren: London DeWitt and Lucas Dewitt both of Ambrose, GA, Jaxon Engle and Madison DeWitt both of Douglas, GA, Zayne Smith, Emmaleigh Smith and Laken Smith all of Rincon, GA; 1 Great Grandchild: Dawson Smith of Rincon, GA; 1 Niece, Victoria Lingenfelser McDonald of Ohio; 1 Nephew: Eric DeWitt of Douglas, GA; and a number of extended family members and friends.
Memorialization will be by cremation and no service is scheduled at this time.
