Oswaldo Medellin, born on August 22, 1970 in Raymondville, Texas, peacefully departed this life on June 12, 2025. He is remembered not only for his dedication to his career but also for his loving spirit and passion for life.
Awakening each day with a commitment to excellence, Oswaldo worked as an operator at Flint Hills Resources, a role through which he found fulfillment and a sense of belonging among his colleagues, whom he cherished as part of his FHR family. He took pride in his work and was respected by many for his unwavering dedication.
Oswaldo’s joys extended beyond the workplace; he held a deep affection for his family and cherished moments spent in their company. He enjoyed golfing outings with his brothers and friends, embracing the camaraderie and friendly competition these times brought. Known for his talent at the grill, he found joy in barbecuing, often gathering loved ones around the feast he prepared. His adventurous spirit led him to travel with family, creating memories that would last a lifetime.
Most precious to Oswaldo was the time he spent with his granddaughter, Lilly. Their bond was a testament to his capacity for love and devotion, and he cherished every moment they shared together.
He received his education at Riviera High School before furthering his studies and earning a Bachelor's Degree, a milestone that demonstrated his commitment to personal growth and lifelong learning.
Oswaldo is survived by his beloved wife, Julie Medellin; his daughters, Alyssa and Alexa Medellin; his cherished granddaughter, Lilliana Garza; and his son-in-law, Adrian Garza. He is preceded in death by his mother, Maria Celia Garcia Medellin, and father, Ramiro Medellin.
Oswaldo Medellin's legacy will endure through the lives he touched, the memories he created, and the love he shared. May we honor him by reflecting on the joy he brought into our lives and the warmth of his unwavering spirit.
