A TIME TO BE BORN:
Otis' life journey began May 12, 1956, in Altheimer, Arkansas. He was born to the parents of Earvin & Willie B. Adway.
Otis received his formal education in the Altheimer School District. He was a member of the Altheimer High School basketball team where he developed his love for sports.
A TIME TO GO HOME:
Otis departed this life on Sunday, September 17, 2023, at Trinity Village Nursing Home in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
He is preceded in death by his parents Earvin and Willie B. Adway; one daughter (Christy Adway, two sisters Mary Adway& Inez Adway; two brothers Earvin Adway, Jr., and James H. Adway.
A TIME TO BE REMEMBERED:
Otis, also known as "Big O" was a joyful sport minded guy who kept friends and family filled with laughter and entertainment. He was well versed on all sporting events and was an Arm-Chair coach who could do it all, He knew every player by name, their nickname and the positions they played. If the coaches would have called Otis first, every team would have had a championship season.
Those who are left to cherish memories: two daughters, Kyra Adway, Houston, Texas, Avianna Adway, North Little Rock, AR; one son Kameron Adway,( Erika), one granddaughter, Cameron Adway, Paris, Arkansas; three sisters, Bobbie Freeman, Chicago, IL; Loistene Johnson, White Hall, AR; Jerri Taylor (Porter) Pine Bluff, AR; five brothers, Willie L. Adway, Altheimer, AR; Robert Adway (Felicia), (Saginaw, MI; Curtis Adway, Pine Bluff, AR' Barry Adway, (Janice) Pine Bluff, AR, Ricky Adway, Chicago, IL and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, September 28, 2023, at Brown Funeral Home Pine Bluff, AR. Funeral Service will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 29, 2023, at Brown Funeral Home Pine Bluff, AR by Pastor R.P. Bifford. Interment in Graceland Cemetery Pine Bluff, AR by Brown Funeral Home of Pine Bluff, AR.
