Otis Piper Dunlap

Otis Piper Dunlap was born on January 19, 1930 to Mary Alice Roberts and Othur Dunlap in East St. Louis, Illinois. Both parents and several siblings preceded him in death including siblings: Leroy Dunlap, Paula Jean Dunlap, Bernie Dunlap and Joyce Dunlap. Otis is survived by son, Darrin Dunlap and his life partner and mother of his only son, Doris Booker. Surviving siblings: Vera Lissenby, Dr. Queen Dunlap Fowler, Fred Dunlap (Frances) of St. Louis, MO, Lee Arthur Dunlap (Deborah), Carlos Dunlap (Mary), Lari Dunlap (Gail) Aberdeen, Maryland; granddaughter, D'Ann McIntyre, grandsons, Michael and Nicolas Bibbs and great granddaughter, Tamia Bibbs; cousin, Delores Dalton; nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends. Otis served his country in the United States Army during the war in Korea and was discharged with honors. He was employed many years at "Bush's Grove" as a bartender in Ladue, where he hob knobbed with celebrities and many prominent Missourians including his personal friends, Harry Carrie, Lester Miller, and Don Ragsdale. Otis also co-owned a billiard parlor, and was known for his out–going personality and dapper dress. After retiring, he devoted all his time to his mate Doris and his family, and his neighborhood. Otis aka "O.P." inspired all that he met, and was a great role-model to family, friends and strangers.
