Ottis was born in Hazard, Kentucky to the late Irvin Fields and the late Elizajane Fields. Other than his parents, Ottis was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Fields; brothers, Henry Fields, Linwood "Curly" Fields, Earl Fields, and Verlin Fields.
Ottis lived 45 years in New Castle, Indiana where he was employed for 40 plus years as a mechanic for Jeff's Alignment before moving back to his home in Big Creek. Ottis enjoyed classic cars, eating good diner food and spending time with family.
Ottis Fields leaves the following relatives to cherish his memory: son, David Fields & wife Angie of New Castle, Indiana; brother, Lenville Fields of Hazard, KY; sisters, Clarida "Bonnie" Shepherd of Georgetown, KY and Cora Peola Campbell of Corinth, KY; Grandsons, Joseph Fields and Dylan Ziglar of Indiana; also a host of other friends & relatives survive.
