Oveda C. Bruce Pendleton, age 100, of Talbott, went to Heaven on Friday, December 19, 2025, at her residence. She was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church in Kentucky and attended Pleasant View Baptist Church in Talbott. Oveda was sweet, special, kind, and generous and above all, she loved the Lord. She was 100 years old but looked and acted more like she was 70. She will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Noah and Amanda Bruce; husbands, Clarence Miracle and Robert Pendleton; sisters, Rosa Lee Tatman and Loleda; brothers, James, Edward, and Noah, Jr.; and step-son-in-law, Travis Pendleton.
Oveda is survived by her sister, Juanita Wilder; nieces, Ricki (Bill) Allen and Connie Halcomb; nieces and nephews, Shana, Brian, Landon, and Rita Martin, Leslie Bruce, Geri Pendleton, Connie Bunch, and Anna Marie Hensley; nephews, Charles Bruce, Eric Bruce, Donnie Bruce, Richard and Paul Roots, Harold, David, Ricky, Bruce, Bobbie, Billy Ray, Kenny, and Mike Pendleton; sister-in-law, Arlene Bruce; daughter-in-law, Mary Pendleton; step-grandchildren, Rob, Jerome, and Mark Pendleton; and special friends, Frieda Patterson, Barbara Chandler, Kristie Edwards, Jamie (Scott) Smith, Brenda (J.C.) Rogers, Darlene (Darrell) Gilbert, Kathy Clemons, Bonnie Engle, Carolyn (Ewell) Hoskins, David (Kathy) Miracle, Donna (Bill) Spears, Jean Inman, and Virginia Beckam.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Monday, December 22, 2025, at Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
The family will also receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Arnett & Steele Funeral Home in Pineville, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM at Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Brian Rhodes, Rev. Donnie Bunch, and Rev. David Miracle officiating. Interment will follow at Balken Cemetery in Balken, Kentucky.
