With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Owen Alejandro Sanchez, age 6, who finished his earthly mission on January 22, 2026. Though his time with us was far too short, the love and light he brought into the world will last forever. Owen was a joyful, curious, and loving child who filled every room with his smile. He loved building Legos or rather making someone build his Legos for him, trucks, super cars, tractors, dinosaurs, Spiderman, space, music and playing with his sisters! He had a special way of making those around him feel happy and loved. His laughter was contagious, and his heart was one of a kind. 

He is deeply loved and will be forever missed by his parents, Alejandro and Alexa Sanchez, his two sisters Olivia(7) and Letty(1), his grandparents; D. Jed and Rachelle Peterson, Malena Sanchez and Marlon Garcia, Mark Frank, His Aunts and Uncles; Eduardo and Jessica Paredes(Emma, Ollie, Eli), Tyson and McKall Scott(Bennet, Oakley, Easton, Canyon), Lincoln and Sarah Peterson(Ivy, Ruby, Ozzy, Rollins), Logan Peterson and Lacie Smith, and all who were blessed to know him. 

Owen’s special day will be held on January 29, 2026 at 196 N 4000 E, Rigby ID 83442. Flowers and arrangements can be sent to 4023 E 54 N, Rigby ID 83442.

Though we must say goodbye for now, Owen will live on in our hearts always.

Funeral services will be held Thursday January 29, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Holbrooke Stake Center, 196 N 4000 E, Rigby, Idaho. A viewing will be held Wednesday From 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. also at the Holbrooke Stake Center, with another viewing prior to the funeral from 9:30-10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery.
