Martha, Jerry and Family,
I can't tell you how much I'll miss Aunt Ozella. I often say she was like a second mother to me after I moved to Richmond. I cherish all the time I spent with your family, especially the Sunday afternoons with our silly giggles and putting on presentations. She always put aside her Sunday paper and listened to us with a smile on her face. I still credit her and Uncle Marvin with making sure I got to church, and is a primary reason I am a faithful attendee today at my own church. She set the standard high and expected us to follow it. She was a true "lady" in every sense of the word. She also fanned the flame of my love for music and I remember well her beautiful alto voice singing in church. I will sorely miss her but share a lot of beautiful memories with you. God grant you peace in knowing that we'll all see her again in the not-too-distant future.

Dear Martha, Jerry and family,
Your Mother will be missed by many. She and your Dad left their mark in many places and the world is a better place because of them. I have fond memories of the early forties, when they were my neighbors, in Hampton, VA. May GOD give you comfort in this time of sadness.

Aunt Ozella was beautiful person in so many ways. She was like an angel to me when I was a little boy and we moved to Henrico County without much but our own family. I remember her fondly and thankfully for all that she and Uncle Marvin did for us that first winter, including some warm clothing. Her home was one of my favorite places to go when we lived there and remains one of the favorite memories of my life even today.
