In Loving Memory of Pablo Ivan Rovira
It is with profound sadness that we share the sudden passing of Pablo Ivan Rovira on Thursday, November 27, 2025. He was 55 years old.
Born in Argentina, Pablo lived a life shaped by curiosity, compassion, and quiet strength. Pablo spent many meaningful years in Brazil, where he built lasting friendships and pursued his academic journey in Physics. He earned his undergraduate degree in Physics from the University of São Paulo, his Master's in Physics from the University of Campinas (Unicamp), and a Ph.D. in Material Sciences at Pennsylvania State University. This is where he met his soul mate, best friend, and wife of 28 years.
Pablo was not only a gifted physicist and researcher, but also a devoted husband and loving father. He is survived by his wife, Michelle, and his incredible children, Lola and Antonio, who were the center of his universe.
He brought thoughtfulness, humility, and kindness into every space he entered. Pablo had quiet wisdom that made people feel seen and at ease. He listened deeply, spoke with care, and showed up with heart.
He is also survived by his mother, Irma, his sister, Fernanda, in Argentina, his stepmother, Liliana, in Brazil, and a wide and loving circle of friends, colleagues, and extended chosen family across the world whose lives he touched so deeply.
A Gathering in Remembrance will be held Friday, December 5th from 3:30-6:00pm at Darling-Fischer Chapel of the Hills in Los Gatos. All who knew him are welcome to attend.
In honoring Pablo, we remember a life lived with love, purpose and dedication. May his spirit continue to inspire us to lead with kindness, seek understanding, and cherish those we love.
