Paddy Moloney

Paddy may have passed from this Earth but he left us a legacy of wonderful music which is eternal. I'd like to think that he has The Almighty tapping his foot even as I post this.

Sad to hear of his passing. I met him once for a documentary on Celtic music and he was simply delightful. Condolences to his family and friends.

We attended a concert in maryland and felt carried back to our ancestors through the chieftains performance. Paddy was the host of a wonderful band that made Irish music popular the world over just as the Irish people have done as immigrants. May he play on in heaven..

I had an opportunity to see Paddy and the Chieftains play in Santa Clarita California about 3 or 4 years ago. During the last song of the night a bunch of us (myself included) danced in tbe aisle and ended up on stage with the Chieftans. Paddy was delightful and had a very warm and welcoming personality. I have listened to and loved his music for years. His passing is a big loss to Irish music lovers around the world. I send my sincerest condolences to his wife and family in their immense loss. May his name and memory be for a blessing. May his legacy endure.

Terrifically saddened to hear of Paddy Moloney's passing. I have loved the Chieftains for decades, and one of my hopes was to see them perform live. To me, Paddy embodied the soul of Irish music. Though I did not know him, I will miss him greatly.

So sorry to hear of his passing, he was a brilliant musician.
