Palma Leomporra Obituary

Palma A. (Anuzelli) Leomporra, 85, of Lafayette Hill, PA, passed away surrounded by family on April 10, 2021. Born in Norristown, PA on April 14, 1935 to Frances (Santangelo) and Joseph Januzelli. She met the love of her life, Honorable Tullio Gene Leomporra, United States Federal Magistrate Judge for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania while performing in a play at The Barn Theatre in Jeffersonville, PA. They were married on March 2, 1957. Palma is survived by sons: Mark (wife Lori), Tully (wife Beth) and Dean (wife Christine); daughters, Licia A. and Palma B.; sister, Jane Caruso; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Grandchildren: Evan, Cory, Austin, Nicole and Licia I., Tara, Alexa, Kathryn, Elliot and Justin; and great-grandchildren: Oliver, Fae and Carson. Palma is preceded by husband, Honorable Tullio Gene Leomporra; mother Francis, father Joseph, brothers, Alfred Januzelli and Frank Anuzelli; Dominico and Silvia Leomporra and Dominic Leomporra; and a sister-in-law, Emma Fideli. Palma’s life was filled with love of her family and friends, her faith as a member of St. Philip Neri Parish in Lafayette Hill for 60 years. She was a member of the choir for over 40 years, Lector and a Eucharist Minister. She served as an Officer of the Philippians and a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Laurette RHO Chapter. She traveled to Italy several times and travel with the Philippian’s to Europe and China. Her happiest memories were spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. one of her happiest times were attending daily Mass followed by going to Panera’s to have coffee with her friends. Relatives & friends are invited to Palma’s viewing at St. Philip Neri Church, 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA 19444 on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 from 9:30 am to 10:45 am, with her Funeral Mass starting at 11:00 am. Masks and social distancing will be observed. Interment will in Calvery Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Palma’s memory to St. Jude Memorial Giving, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959 stjude.org/memorialgifts; and/or Fox Chase Cancer Center, 7701 Burholme Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19111.
