Palmer was the manager at the American Bank while I worked there. He was a wonderful person and a great manager who often offered sound advice. May you now Rest at Peace, Palmer, in the arms of Our Lord.

Growing up in the Hegins Valley, Palmer was a classmate at Tri-Valley and lived within easy walking distance to me. He was the smartest, or at least one of the smartest, of all our classmates. Palmer was always friendly and always had time to chat for a while. Sorry to have you leave us. Rest in peace, my friend.

The members of the Valley View Tri-Valley Lions Club mourn the passing of Lion Palmer.
Lion Palmer was a proud charter member of the club, which was established in October 1990. For 36 years, he faithfully served the club and the community in numerous leadership roles. His dedication included serving as District 14-U Cabinet Treasurer (2004-2005 and 2017-2018), Club Treasurer (2002-2006), Club Membership Chair (2014-2015), Club Director (2015-2016 and 2017-2021), Lion Tamer (2021-2025), and Assistant Lion Tamer (2025-2026). In every position he held, Palmer brought steady leadership, reliability, and a servant´s heart.
Beyond his club roles, Palmer was actively involved with PA Beacon Lodge and supported its many activities. His commitment to Lionism was further reflected in sponsoring four new members, helping to strengthen and grow the club he helped found.
Many will fondly remember seeing Palmer at the annual Hegins Valley Craft Fair, faithfully prepping burgers and cheese for frying, ensuring everything was ready to serve the community. He was known for his signature crew top and his well-loved sweet tooth - always making sure the treats were shared for him to take along home.
Lion Palmer´s dedication, fellowship, and quiet generosity left a lasting mark on our club and community. He will be deeply missed but long remembered for his years of service and friendship.
