Palmina Oliveri Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. on Oct. 1, 2025.
Palmina M. Oliveri died Friday, leaving an unfillable void. She was the widow of Frank, with whom she enjoyed 73 years of marriage until his death in 2014. They are together now.
Born and raised in the Bronx, NYC, she was the first-born of six children to Girloma and Vincenzo Frattolillo. Palmina married her true love, Frank, at 18, and soon after they opened the doors of the Crystal Lake Hotel. Generations came there, and all were welcome. Gracious and warm, she was the best of hosts.
Palmina was a selfless and deeply nurturing Mother to Beverly, Luc, Patrick (Jane), and Judy (Stephen). She was the beating heart of the family - always, always there for us - our rock and our quiet inspiration.
Palmina was a beautiful human being, inside and out, and she created a most beautiful life. One of her favorite words for people she especially loved was "precious;" she was far too humble to realize she was "projecting."
She faced life's challenges with an indomitable spirit, with grace and a firm but gentle determination. An innate aristocrat, she kept her sorrows to herself. Not a "talker," but a listener "par excellence," and the truest and most generous companion.
Palmina M. Oliveri leaves us a treasured legacy of beauty and lovingkindness. We are so grateful.
A requiem Mass was celebrated on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 1101 Willow Street, Peckville, by Rev. Andrew Kurovsky, pastor, and Rev. Joseph Sitko.
Pallbearers: Franco Oliveri, Christian Morelli, Steven Morelli, Todd Schweyer, Peter Pettinato and Carmine Pettinato.
Friends honored Palmina on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at the Carmine J. & Louis C. Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 89 Farview Street, Carbondale, from 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, and in the spirit of Palmina, be kind.
