Pamala Ann Risvold

Pam Risvold, age 74, passed away on September 7, 2022, in Austin, Texas.
Pam was the daughter of Milo and Marjorie Risvold, both of Iowa where Pam was born.
Pam enjoyed sewing, needlework, knitting and made most of her own clothes from a young age. She sewed professionally at one point and was an accomplished seamstress. After retirement, Pam developed a passion for Genealogy. For many years she performed extensive research on her family as well as that of other family members. She became an expert in research and documentation, especially regarding Norwegian family history. Pam volunteered her time for years at the local Family History Center where she made many friends and assisted patrons in researching their ancestors. She also helped others through networking here in the U.S., as well as other countries.
Pam was predeceased by her parents, Milo and Marjorie Risvold, and a brother, Terry Risvold. She is survived by her husband John Hopkins of Austin, daughter Jackie Chandler of Pipe Creek, brother Milo Risvold of Mason City, Iowa, a sister Sybil Haydon of Austin, and a sister Cynthia Bennett of San Antonio. Also, a grandson Jon Chandler of Kerrville and a great-granddaughter Julianne Chandler of Kerrville.
