Pamela Billhartz Obituary

Pamela Billhartz

September 15, 1963 - July 18, 2024

Edwardsville, Illinois - Our dear sister, Pamela Sue Billhartz, born on September 15, 1963, went home to be with Jesus on July 18, 2024, with her sisters by her side, following an over 2-year battle with physical and mental ailments. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. Pam was a devout Catholic and loved Jesus with a childlike innocence. She showed her faith by always being a willing helper in volunteering at numerous church activities, visiting the sick and home bound, working at various area food pantries, and helping out her neighbors, all while wearing a contagious smile on her face.

Pam was preceded in death by her mother, JoAnn Billhartz (née Mayer) and father, Vernon Billhartz. She leaves behind two sisters, Cynthia (Vahe) Gregorian of Kansas City, Mo. and Diana (Mike) Woolsey of Glen Carbon, Ill. and two nephews, Braden and Brent Woolsey, as well as her special friend, Allen, who took her under his wing for the time she lived at Cedarhurst Assisted Living.

Memorials are preferred to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul or St. Clare of Assisi Church. Online condolences can be shared at www.wfh-ofallon.com.

Visitation: The family will receive friends 2:00 – 6:00 p.m., Sunday, July 21, 2024 at Wolfersberger Funeral Home, 102 W. Washington St., O'Fallon, Ill. and again after 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 22, 2024 at St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church, 1411 Cross Street, Shiloh, Ill.

Funeral: Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Monday, at the church, with Father Jim Deiters presiding. Burial will follow at Green Mount Catholic Cemetery.

Pam was one of the sweetest and purest souls that I ever knew! I was blessed to know her. I remember when she went to Denver with our youth group to see the Pope and she was so happy! I'm sorry for your loss.
