Death Notice

Pamela "Pj" Bowe

1973 - 2024

FORT EDWARD
Pamela "PJ" Bowe, 50, a lifelong resident of Fort Edward, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2024 at the Glens Falls Hospital with her family by her side.
Born October 18, 1973 in Glens Falls, NY, she was the daughter of Timothy Bowe and the late Darlene (Brunell) Bowe.
PJ earned an Associates Degree in Occupational Therapy. She was employed by Centers Healthcare as a Community Liaison, a job which suited her perfectly. PJ was considered an angel and local hero by her employers and her patients alike, and was known for providing them with the resources they needed along with an ear to listen. She arranged for ice cream trucks to come by her nursing home residents, and even organized a senior prom so they could have some fun. She always said that if she won the lottery, she would buy a nursing home so she could take care of everyone in her own way. Her compassion and drive to help others will never be forgotten by all those she helped along the way.
PJ was just as compassionate and loving with her own family. She loved to go boating on Lake George, hold impromptu kitchen dance parties to Bon Jovi songs, hold cousin sleepovers at Gram Norma's house, and take road trips that always turned into adventures. She loved traveling to Castleton to watch Tyler play football. She hosted a Sunday morning breakfast club and enjoyed Sunday dinner with the family, and could often be found cuddling with her fur babies Bayley and Sully, as well as enjoying her Friday beer at The Harvest. Most of all, PJ was an amazing mom who willingly made sacrifices for Kaylee. PJ always knew the right thing to do, the right words to say, and was Kaylee's best friend. She was also a wonderful Mimi, sister, and Mam who gave her all to her family. She will be greatly missed by all who were lucky enough to know her. Even during her health struggles, she remained strong, compassionate, and selfless.
In addition to her mother, PJ is also predeceased by her uncle Tom Brunell, her aunt Karen Boothby, and her grandfather Eugene Brunell.
Left to cherish her memory are her partner of 15 years, Mark Carpenter, her children, Kaylee Seeley (Christopher Carlson), Tyler Carpenter (Tyler), and Ryan Carpenter (Amelia), her father, Timothy Bowe, her grandmothers, Norma Brunell and MaryEllen Bowe, her sister Janelle Rose (Andrew), her brother Brian Bowe (Kaeleen), her grandchildren, Layne, Wes, and one on the way, her "bonus" children, Brianna, Paige and Jeffrey, was a special Mam to Blake and CJ Boucher, and is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Friends may call from 4-7pm on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at the M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 82 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY 12828.
A Funeral Mass will be conducted at 10am on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at St. Joseph's Church, 164 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY 12828. Rite of Committal will follow Mass at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Fort Edward.
