Pamela Bryant Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Rouse Funeral Home on Dec. 11, 2025.
It is with deep love and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Pamela (Dean) Lindley Bryant, age 70, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, and lifelong caregiver. She passed away peacefully on December 9th, after courageously fighting cancer and its complications for more than 25 years. A battle she approached with grit, humor, and unmatched determination.
Pam was preceded in death by her parents Wilfred and Jessie Lindley of Goldsboro, N.C. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Nicholas Bryant, her two children, Jason Bryant and wife Kellan, and Will Bryant, her grandchildren, Conner and Avery (Jason), her grand dog, Beau (Will), her sister Dawn Crumpler, her nephews Derek Crumpler and wife Lauren and Adam Crumpler and wife Chelsea, her great niece Callie (Adam), her aunt Virginia Buckner of Pittsboro, special family Mary and Crews, her cat Scarlet, and so many wonderful friends. Pam was affectionately known as Pam, Mom, Momma, Ms. Pam, Ma Pam, and Grammy.
Pam grew up in Chatham County and went to high school in Goldsboro where she graduated in 1973. Pam continued her education at Wayne Community College earning her nursing degree.
Born with a spirited heart and a servant's soul, Pam dedicated her career to caring for others as a nurse at Kinston Children's Clinic and Caswell Center in Kinston, N.C. She poured compassion into every shift and treated each person she supported with dignity, patience, and the fierce love that defined her entire life. She gave to so many with the same servant heart at Trinity United Methodist Church for many years.
Pam never met a stranger. She welcomed people with her quick wit, spunky personality, and the kind of warmth that made everyone feel like family. If you pulled up a chair at her table, you'd quickly learn she could feed an army and usually did. No one ever left her home hungry, unloved, or without a sweet sucker tucked into their hand.
A proud cheer mom, she spent countless years on the sidelines, working behind the scenes, and cheering just as loudly for others' children as she did for her own. Her two boys were the center of her universe, and when she became a grandmother, her heart stretched even wider. Her grandkids brought her pure joy, lighting up her life in ways only they could.
True to her roots, she was a Duke-loving, strong-willed, wonderfully stubborn woman who found joy in the little things and the comfort of being surrounded by the people she cherished. She never said no to anyone who needed her help. She showed up, stood firm, and loved hard.
She leaves behind a legacy of unwavering strength, generosity, and love. Those who knew her will remember her for her spirit, her humor, her open door, and her big heart. She fought a long fight with courage and grace, and now she rests in peace, surrounded by the love she gave so freely.
Pam will be dearly missed but forever remembered by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
Always remember, she loves you more.
The family will receive friends on Monday, December 15, 2025 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home in LaGrange, NC. A service to celebrate Pam's life will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Trinity United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
