After a valiant fight with cancer, Pam Eakin Pierce, 59, left us Monday, November 18 in the presence of her loving family.

Pamela Ann Eakin and her twin Debbie were born on December 23, 1964 in Jerome to Grace (Hobson) and Jim Eakin, joining four older siblings. Pam and Deb were always a package deal.

4-H activities were a constant through her youth and teenage years, winning many ribbons for Cooking and showing her Holstein heifers at the Blaine County Fair.

Pam attended Bellevue Elementary where she showed her artistic side.

She graduated in 1983 from Wood River High School. She was an excellent athlete, earning a ticket to the state track meet in Boise with her twin sister.

The University of Idaho was her next stop, earning a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics, majoring in food and nutrition in 1989.She had a lot of fun along the way! Pam later certified as a Registered Dietitian.

Pam met her husband, Mike on a blind date. They married in 1995 in a lovely ceremony. After a honeymoon in Cancun, they made Bellevue their home. Traveling was a big part of their free time, often making trips to CA to visit Mike's parents. They loved to camp and twice visited Mike's relatives in Sweden. Pam was a huge Denver Broncos fan, and the twins celebrated their 50th birthday in San Diego at a Bronco/Charger game (the Broncos won)! She loved her cat, her little house, garden and making killer salsa. She said she didn't wear jewelry, yet never left the house without earrings!

Pam worked at Saint Luke's Hospital in Ketchum for 18 years, until health caused her to stop. She enjoyed her work in the kitchen, but her co-workers were always her favorite part of the job.

Pam is survived by her loving husband Mike, her mother Grace Eakin of Bellevue, siblings Dan (Karen) Eakin, Mike (Robyn) Eakin, Cathy (Kent) Venosdel, Nancy (Jerry) Overturf, Debbie (Russ) Hepworth, Patrick (Christy) Eakin, numerous nephews and nieces, and many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jim Eakin.

A celebration of life for Pam will be held December 7, 2024 at 200 Baseline Road, from 1-3 pm.
