Pam was a gift from God who lived with expectancy. She lived the life she spoke of--being kind to others, sharing the gifts God gave her, caring for others, being a listening ear, training up children in the way they are to go, submitting to, and reverencing her husband, encouraging others, and being vulnerable to share how God has used every part of her life to prepare her for what's next.

Pam made you feel beautiful, because she lifted Christ up, and He promised that when He is lifted up He will draw all manner of people to Him. Pam believed that her Redeemer is faithful in keeping His promises, so she trusted Him to see her through every situation. Oh, Pam was a testament of God's love.

Pam visited with me a few years ago and we had a few moments to catch up. As I reflect on that visit, the song "Every day with Jesus" comes to mind.

Every day with Jesus
Is sweeter than the day before
Every day with Jesus
I love Him more and more
Jesus saves and keeps me
And He´s the One I´m waiting for
Every day with Jesus
Is sweeter than the day before.

This is what talking with Pam was like-a moment by moment exploration of how God's goodness continues to shine through daily life.

I am grateful that I met Pam and was blessed to interact with her for a few years. I am grateful that she got to see her children, whom she adored, grow up. I am grateful that she was blessed to have a husband like Michael who stood with her on God's word and LOVED her. I am grateful that her higher education community honored and celebrated her for her selfless service, academic achievements, and commitment to excellence.

Michael, Sean, Nicholas, family, and friends, I pray that you know that God will take you through this painful journey. Keep your eyes on Him and trust Him to lead you through.

Much love,
Linda McClellan
