The life and passing of Pamela Sue Johnson
Born June 8, 1952 to Robert & Mildred Webb in Romulus NY at the USAF Hospital. Pam was the oldest with three younger brothers, Robert Jr, James and Michael. Growing up she called many places home until she settled in Everly, IA where she graduated High School in 1970. Following her dreams, she obtained a degree as a Lab Technician from the Medical Institute of Minnesota in 1972.
Shortly after completing her degree another dream came true when she married the love of her life- Irvin (Butch) Johnson o September 22, 1972 at the Methodist Church in Everly, IA. Blessing her home with two boys from Irvin’s first marriage- Brian Shay & Bradley Edward. After many years of trying Irvin & Pamela welcomed Seth Alan on August 17, 1978.
Pamela enjoyed her time being a stay-at-home mother and caregiver. As the boys grew up Pam found herself many careers she loved and excelled at including Jimmy Jay’s and State Bank before she retired from Evertek in 2019.
Pam found solace in many hobbies such as playing Yahtzee with Connie, Poetry, her love for Bald Eagles and wildlife, gardening and traveling off the beaten path with Irvin. All through her life she loved the comfort of her cats by her side. One other hobby that brought her great happiness was joining three other women, Sheila as lead painter, Judy and Winnie in painting several murals around the town of Everly. Pam found her greatest joy spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, cheering them on in every sport and especially football. Pam never met a stranger and found the good in everyone she met. With the warm hugs and the kiss to follow, you couldn’t help but to be drawn to her caring soul. Pamela was truly loved by everyone.
On April 2, 2025, Pamela took her last breath in the comfort of her home with her husband by her side.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Irvin; three sons and daughters-in-law: Seth (Jen), Brad (Cyndi), Brian (Amy); dear extended daughter and mother of her first grandchild, Joy; 14 grandchildren; two great grandchildren and three brothers.
