Pamela Ann Cordell Landis, 71 of Lonoke, Arkansas passed away surrounded by her loving family and friends on August 23, 2025. Pam was born on September 11, 1953, in Lonoke, Arkansas to James and Lula Mae Cordell.

Pam attended Lonoke High School and Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. Pam worked for the Arkansas Democrat Gazette and Middleton Heat and Air, later retiring after many years of dedicated service to both. Although Pam retired, she did not retire from serving her family, friends and community. Wherever there was a need, Pam would be the first to step up and help. She was kindhearted, family oriented and had a servant’s heart. Pam was a lifelong member of the Lonoke Baptist Church.

Pam was preceded in death by both her parents, her husband William “Red” Landis; her sister, Jamie Lieu Gable; her brother, Joe David Cordell; nieces, Gracie Gable Conners and Elizabeth Cordell Van Houten; nephew Terry Joe Cordell; and great nephew, Robert S. Cordell, III.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, brother, Robert Jerry “Burr” Cordell; sisters, Mary Jane Hallum (Carroll), Paula Bramlett (John), Helen Bryant (David); many nieces and nephews; Karen Lewis Masching, her best friend since 7th grade, and Karen’s husband Terry; Classmates of Lonoke High School, Class of 1971; her “special Granddaughters”, Grace Taylor (Jacob) and Elizabeth Gardner (JD), along with “special great grandsons” Titus Taylor and John Paxton Gardner.

Pam was the leader of the Lonoke High School Class of 1971. Pam made sure every class reunion was perfect and always kept everyone together by arranging lunches and special celebrations for her dear friends.

A celebration of Pam’s life will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 11:00am at the Lonoke Baptist Church with Brother Reid Terry and Brother Tom Smith (Classmate) officiating the service. There will be a reception following the service in the fellowship hall.
