Pamela Diane Weatherford Long

Pamela Diane Long, 69, went home to be with the Lord on, Thursday, November 20th, 2025. She was a woman who loved generously, loudly, and without condition. Her days shaped by small acts of kindness, by laughter shared over simple moments, and by the steady devotion she offered everyone fortunate enough to know her.

She loved her neighbors, her great friends Mary and Mike Crisp, Lola the dog, Aunt Della and husband Waddell and son Todd Blanton always embracing them like family, always ready with a warm hug, a thoughtful word, or a place of her own to call their home. She loved the natural world, the changing seasons, the business she owned, and the beauty she noticed in places others overlooked.

Her love was not loud, but it was enduring. It showed in the way she listened, the way she remembered small details, the way she found light even in challenging times. Those who knew her will remember her not only for what she did, but for the way she made them feel seen, valued, and cared for.

She is survived by her loving children, Brittany and Blake Long; and Grandchild, Kai Bondarenko.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack Leon Weatherford and Virgina Tilson Weatherford; Husband, Gary Long who she was married to for 41 years; and Brother, Bobby Weatherford.

She leaves behind a legacy woven from compassion, resilience, and an unshakeable belief in the goodness of others. Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit lives on in the countless lives she touched.

Visitation will take place on Monday, November 24, 2025, from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM, in the Chapel of Anders Rice & Roper Funeral Home. Following the visitation, a Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM.

May she rest in peace, surrounded by the same love she so generously gave.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital.
