Pamela Payment Obituary
Pamela grew up in DeTour Village and attended DeTour Public Schools. After school, she entered the workforce and began working at Fred's Bar as a waitress. She met Frederick Payment through his family, and they married on August 13, 1978 in Sault Ste. Marie, MI.
Pamela loved cooking and being a homebody where she spent time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed snowmobiling and ice fishing back in her earlier years.
Pamela is survived by children, Annette Wilson of DeTour Village, Kevin Callaghan of Reno, Nevada, Steve (Jolene) Payment of Menominee, Michigan, Chuck (Denise) Payment of Newberry, Michigan, Bonita (Jerry) Higgins of Wallace, Michigan, and Leilani (Jeff) Strohl of Wallace; grandchildren, Rachel (Chris) Byer, Matt (Jess) Payment, Amber Payment, Crystal Payment, Shannon Dennis, Jason Higgins, Jeremy (Trisha) Erickson, Logan (Jessie) Erickson, Shawn (Gina) Erickson, Darci (Donny) Newell, Josh Wilson, Alyssa Wilson, Billy Callaghan, Jackie Callaghan, Katie and Danika Boettcher, and David Payment; brothers, Bruce (Elizabeth) Lawless and Wayne Lawless, sisters-in-law, Joann (Robert) Trudo of DeTour Village and Dena Lawless of Lansing, Michigan; and many beloved great-grandchildren.
Pamela was preceded in death by children, David Payment, Billy and Kelly Callaghan, ; grandson, Nathan Duane Erickson; brother, Donald Lawless; infant brother and sister, Robert and Leilani; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Gillam and Marie Lawless; brother-in-law, Richard Payment.
Final Resting Place will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in DeTour Village, Michigan.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be left in Pamela's memory to the Pennington Home, 665 S Pleasant St, Pickford, MI 49774, or Harbor View Assisted Living, P.O. Box 123 DeTour Village, MI 49725.
Family Life Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements. Condolences may be left to the family at www.familylifefh.com.
