It is with profound sadness that I share the passing of my beloved wife Pam, after 51 years of a beautiful life together. She was my best friend, my confidante and the most extraordinary person I have ever known. She passed away after a gallant battle with Cancer on May 31, 2025.

Pam and I met when we were just 12 years old in grade school, and I was instantly captivated. We married at 21 in the Bronx, New York, embarking on a journey that would take us from New York to Colorado to Utah, building a lifetime of cherished memories along the way.

Pam's life was a testament to the quiet strength and deep compassion that shaped every role she held. She was the steady hand, the calm voice, and the ever present heart behind a family grounded in love.

Pam dedicated her professional life to education, serving as a passionate and devoted reading teacher. She had a special place in her heart for her "little strugglers," tirelessly working to help them discover the joy of reading. Her warmth, selflessness, and giving spirit extended far beyond the classroom. Pam had an incredible talent for connecting with people- honest, pure and always sincere, without a hint of an agenda. She made friends effortlessly wherever we went, yet she remained private and unassuming.

Beyond her professional duties, Pam was quite a force for good, mentoring countless young women in her school. She also poured her love into what I called her "Baby Blanket Bingo" gifts. When she heard a colleague was expecting she would spring into action, creating a beautiful homecoming blanket for the new arrival. This loving gesture soon expanded to the children and grandchildren of her older colleagues, eventually growing to housewarming blankets to family, friends and neighbors from New York to Utah. These blankets remind us of her warmth and wrap us with her eternal love.

Pam was also an avid adventurer. She became quite the skier, hiker, biker and kayaker and we always embarked on "Pam and Joe's excellent adventures." These shared experiences brought us immense joy and further enriched our life together. Pam also had a passion for cooking and another of her greatest joys was feeding and teaching those she loved how to cook, especially introducing the Utahn to the taste of authentic Italian food!

Despite all her endeavors, Pam was first and foremost the best wife, mother and Nana anyone could wish for. To her children, Christian and Alexis, she was a safe haven, a constant source of wisdom, patience, inspiration, unconditional love and support. She was a devoted Nana to Emmett, Elliott, Charlotte, and Alexander, loving them with tenderness and compassion. I would declare the best mother in the in-law category to Kirsten and Chad, respective spouses. She had an uncanny instinct and intuition to say just the right thing at the right time, always giving you space to ponder her words without intrusion. Growing with her was the greatest pleasure of my life!

Pam's legacy of love, kindness and unwavering dedication and devotion will live on in our hearts for all who were fortunate enough to know her. To know her was to be changed by her. In honor of her life and her lifelong commitment to serving others, especially children, we ask that donations be made in her name to her favorite charity, St. Jude’s Children's Research Center Hospital. She will forever be in our hearts and deeply missed.
