Pamela Joy Strysick, a beloved retired college professor and accomplished accountant, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2025, in Columbus, Georgia, after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 - 3:00PM Saturday, May 24, 2025 at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
She was born on October 31, 1938, in Brisbane, Australia, and her journey through life was defined by her kindness, compassion, and dedication to her family and profession.
A talented individual, Pamela earned her Certified Public Accountant License and went on to have a distinguished career as both the owner of an accounting firm and an internal revenue auditor. Her passion for education led her to impart her knowledge as a college professor, where she inspired countless students to pursue their own dreams and aspirations.
Pamela is remembered not only for her professional achievements but also for her unwavering love and support for her family. She is survived by her five devoted children: Teka Strysick, Devonne Strysick, Cena McKoy, Mark Strysick, and Inez Strysick. Each of them carries forward the values she instilled, and her legacy lives on through the love they share and the lessons they learned from her.
Pamela's warmth and loving spirit touched the lives of all who knew her. Her memory will remain cherished by her family and friends as they honor her life and the profound impact she made on those around her.
