Pamela Marie Williams, a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away on October 9, 2024, at the age of 68. Born on September 19, 1956, in New Orleans, Louisiana, Pamela was the daughter of the late Albert C. Williams and Billie Harris Williams. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Gregory P. Williams, and her loving grandparents, Estee Harris Johnson.
Raised in the vibrant city of New Orleans, Pamela was a proud graduate of Booker T. Washington High School, Class of 1973. Her pursuit of knowledge and passion for beauty led her to graduate from the Sidney L. Collier Vocational School of Cosmetology. However, it was her journey into the medical field that defined her career. She continued her education at Charity Hospital, becoming a skilled Surgical Technician.
In 2005, in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, Pamela relocated to Dallas, Texas, where she would spend the next chapter of her life. She dedicated a decade of service at the VA Hospital, where her compassion and commitment to her profession were evident to all who knew her. Pamela was not only talented in her work but also had a remarkable ability to connect with others, always ready to bring joy through laughter, dancing, and cooking.
Pamela's legacy lives on in her four children, Trinette, Elginal, Garin, Erika-Roxanne Williams, and her five grandchildren: Kaiden, Kendall Jr., Khaza, Kolleek, Karter, and Keeni, as well as Tuliah Taylor. Her love extended beyond her immediate family to her adoring brother, Gary Harris, and Bernard Williams. She held a special place in her heart for her stepchildren: Lakenya, Aiesha, Nichelle, Eric Jr., Mitchell, Tiffany, Felicia, and Dana, whom she loved like her own. Additionally, she is remembered fondly by the father of her children, Eric J. Harris Sr.
Pamela brought life to every occasion and will be missed deeply by her family and friends. Her grand pups, Smokey and Lady Williams, also had the special enjoyment of her affection.
The viewing for Pamela Marie Williams will take place on October 18, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, located at 4155 South R. L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75224.
