Panagiota Kalkanis Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Joseph Farenga & Sons Inc. on Dec. 8, 2025.
Panagiota Kalkanis, a radiant presence in the lives of all who knew her, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2025, at the age of 87. She was a devoted wife to the late Evangelos Kalkanis, with whom she shared a deep and abiding love that served as the foundation of their family.
Panagiota was a cherished mother to her three children: Peter and his wife Maria, Stella Pantelidis and her late husband Jimmy, and Maria and her husband Gus Rigas. Her family was her pride and joy, and she dedicated her life to nurturing them with warmth and affection. As a loving grandmother, she illuminated the lives of her grandchildren-Kristina, Carli, Mariana, Nicholas, Paige, and Eve-who were the center of her universe. Panagiota was also a great-grandmother to Sophia, who brought her so much joy and happiness. She created cherished memories around family gatherings, where her infectious laughter and boundless energy could light up any room.
A gifted cook and baker, Panagiota's culinary talents were matched only by her passion for bringing her family together. Her kitchen was a warm haven where the aromas of her delicious meals and baked goods filled the air, inviting everyone to partake in the love she infused into every dish.
Beyond her culinary delights, Panagiota had a profound love for gardening, where she found joy in nurturing her plants as she did her family. Her daily walks in the community were a testament to her vibrant spirit, as she cherished each interaction and connection made along the way. She also had a flair for shopping, relishing the thrill of finding treasures for her family and home.
Panagiota Kalkanis will be deeply missed by all who knew her. However, her legacy of love, joy, and togetherness will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. May her memory be eternal, a guiding light for those she left behind.
