Monday evening December 1, 2025 Pasefika Iosia passed away in the arms of his loving God at the age of 87. Pasefika was born in Tutuila, America Samoa, most recently resided in Port St. Lucie but resided for over 50 years in Broward County, mostly in Oakland Park, FL.

Pasefika was proceeded in death by his parents Reverend Iosia Pao Taufi of Aunuu, mother, Folototo Malaki Savea of Paluli Savaii, brothers: Moemoe Iosia, Pina Iosia, Taufi Moeaveave Iosia, Kasia Iosia, Fiailoa Iosia, sisters: Sialei Fonoti, Laumua Faletogo, Mareta Iosia and So'oleola Siatunuu, and his wife June Marie Hassett Iosia of Worcester, MA.

Pasefika is survived by his children: Taupule Iosia, Tanielu Iosia, Mareta Sizemore and Mikaele Iosia as well as his grandchildren: Hunter Iosia, Madison Fetuao, Santana Sizemore, Sloan Sizemore, Sione Sizemore, Isaac Iosia and Luke Iosia.

Pasefika served in the United States Army and was most widely known as a Polynesian entertainer at the Mai-Kai restaurant for over 40 years. Many of those years as one of the fire knife dances and then musician as part of the historic show at the Mai-Kai. Pasefika also worked for over a decade for Continental, and then United Airlines in baggage service. He was an avid golfer, racquetball and squash player. He will be remembered as a husband, faithful father and grandfather, hard worker, gifted entertainer, a generous spirit with a willingness to help others.

There will be visitation on December 14 from 12:30 -3:00 pm with a brief celebration of life service at 3 pm in the Baird Funeral Home Chapel.
