December 25, 1937 - December 6, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Pasquale Camputaro, 87, of East Haven, beloved husband of Louise Caruso Camputaro, on December 6, 2025 surrounded by his family at Yale New Haven Hospital St. Raphael Campus. Loving father of Rosa (Andrew) Ruggiero of North Branford, Louis (Laura) Camputaro of Northford, Cecilia (Shawn) Luzzi of New Haven and the late Alessandro M. "Alex" Camputaro. Pasquale is also survived by nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Brother of Maria (Frank) DiBona of East Haven, Teresa Massaro of Italy and the late Anna Uzzo, Gina Mascola and Michele and Giuseppe Camputaro. Pasquale was born in Gioia Sannitica, Italy on December 25, 1937, son of the late Luigi and Rosa Conte Camputaro. Prior to his retirement, Pasquale was a truck driver for the Mite Corporation. He was a remarkable man who touched the lives of everyone who knew him. Pasquale was known for his warm and welcoming spirit, always making others feel at home. His kindness and generosity knew no bounds, and he had an incredible ability to uplift those around him with his genuine smile and heartfelt laughter. Family was his greatest treasure, and he cherished every moment with his loved ones. Pasquale is survived by his devoted wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who will carry his legacy of love and compassion in their hearts forever. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for his unwavering love and the joy he brought to our lives. Rest in peace, Pasquale. Your spirit will continue to inspire and guide us.
His funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80), East Haven on Friday, December 12, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at St. Vincent de Paul Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Family and friends may call Friday morning from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of one's choice in his honor.
