Pasquale L. DeTora, Jr., affectionately known as Pat, passed away on January 6, 2026, just days shy of his 82nd birthday. He was born on January 10, 1944, and lived a life characterized by dedication, hard work, and deep familial love.
Pat devoted 35 years of his career to Upper Darby Township, showcasing an unwavering commitment to his work until his well-earned retirement. His industrious nature and strong work ethic have left a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of working alongside him.
Beyond his professional life, Pat was a loving husband, cherished dad, and adored pop-pop. He shared 56 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Alice (Nee DiBerardo) DeTora. Together, they built a life filled with joy, love, and cherished memories. Their family blossomed under his care, with daughter Dawn Brigante (Andrew) and granddaughter Angelica each holding a special place in his heart. Pat also leaves behind his sister Lorraine and many nieces and nephews.
A lifelong fan of NASCAR and the Philadelphia Phillies, Pat's enthusiasm for these interests was infectious. He found great joy in cheering for his teams, and these hobbies brought him closer to his loved ones, reinforcing the bonds within his family.
Pat was the beloved son of the late Pasquale and Theresa (Nee DiGiacomo) DeTora, Sr., and he was predeceased by his brother Joseph DeTora. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him—a legacy of love, hard work, and passion that will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.
