Pasquale Sachette Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Metcalf Mortuary - St. George on Dec. 22, 2025.
Pasquale Theodore Sackette "Sacchetti" was born April 20,1953, to Reginald Fortanado & Roberta Caroline Cangi Sackette. He was the only son and right in the middle of 4 sisters, two older sisters: Roberta, Cookie and Regina, and two younger sisters: Laurie and Jennifer, perfectly positioned for teasing them all. He had many wonderful memories of family and sharing life together.
Pasquale's life was full of adventures. He had a passion for motorcycles and cars and had too many to count over the years. He was searching for his next ones when he passed. One of Pasquale's fondest memories was going to his uncle's junk yard with his Dad and playing in the old junk cars. His first car was a car he and his father towed home and rebuilt for Pasquale.
Pasquale loved to find ways to help others, especially his family. He loved fixing things and helping others organize their stuff, or junk as he referred to it.To his dismay, most resisted his help; they were very concerned he would get rid of it all. Pasquale once asked his wife Vicki's son, Date, if he could help Date organize his stuff in his yard. Date kindly told him, "No, don't be messing with my junk, I like my junk." (Since then, Date has organized his own "junk" for fear Pasquale would) That is a private joke within the family. The irony is that Pasquale collected lots of old things. Maybe the difference was that his "junk" was organized
Pasquale loved family. He loved doing things for them and especially surprising them with unannounced visits at Christmas. All of his family can relate to this. He has such fun planning the surprise visit, we're sure he still does.
Pasquale married the love of his life, Vicki Lynn, on August 18, 2018. They found out later that his grandfather Pasquale and grandmother Christine were married 100 years to the day, on August 18, 1918. That was a fun discovery and lent to a recognition that family will always stay close by, no matter what realm they exist in.
Pasquale and Vicki met while hiking in Zion. They made a real connection when hiking in the Narrows in Zion National Park with a hiking group they both belonged to. Zion and Snow Canyon became their adventurous playground. Their cowboy hats and Dirty Girl Gators became their trademark. Pasquale gained the reputation of "Spiderman" with his hiking friends. His adventurous spirit took him up steep slopes with a quick agility that was hard to match. Vicki bought him special "Spiderman boxers" just for fun. That was just the beginning of "superhero" underwear.
Pasquale was an excellent mechanic and project manager. Vicki always touted that she married a romantic, but also a wonderful maintenance guy. Her cars always included the maintenance package. He even did windows and dusted.
Pasquale was an Italian romantic, but also a rocking heavy metal enthusiast. He loved almost every genre of music and movies. Their favorite movies were "When Harry met Sally," and "Ground Hog Day," ones they watched together many times. Every now and then Pasquale would throw in 'guy flicks' like "Blazing Saddles." Pasquale also loved to dance with Vicki in the early morning hours before sunrise, with the colored lights creating the mood. He would pick out songs that randomly popped into his head. Vicki's favorite was the very romantic song sung by Tony Bennett, "Fly Me To The Moon," which will always be very special. On the other side of the scale, they would wake up to music by "Rage Against the Machine."
Pasquale and Vicki lived a short 7 years of marriage. Those years will remain very precious. A person would like to look back at precious times without regrets, but that is probably impossible. There is always a sense of "I wish I had …"
Pasquale passed away with his wife, Vicki, his daughter Jill, granddaughters Salina and Cynthia, and newest great granddaughter, Divine, by his side. He will be greatly missed.
Pasquale will be extremely missed. He loved life. He taught us how to stay young and be a kid, even as we age. He never grew old, his body just couldn't keep up with his youthfulness. None of us could either.
We will not list those Pasquale left behind as he continues his journey, because he did not leave us. He is still with us. We still each see glimpses of him during our days as we, individually, experience sweet moments that only could be Pasquale still staying involved in our lives.
In Memory of My Pasquale,
With Love, His Vicki Lynn
