Pastor Leroy Jones Obituary
Leroy Jones, Jr. passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2025.
Leroy was born in Temple, TX, on April 2, 1943. He attended trade school and went on to serve his country in the United States Army. In 1979, Leroy married Marilyn, the love of his life.
Leroy worked for AT&T for 33 years and retired in 1999. He loved God and loved people. He pastored House of Prayer Church of God in Christ for 45 years.
Leroy was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy Sr. and Laura. He leaves behind his wife of 45 years, Marilyn Jones, daughter Cheryl Arbor (Victor), son Leroy Isaiah Jones (Brittany), four grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM with a Prayer Service at 6:00 PM, Thursday, May 1, 2025, at Sunset Funeral Home - East, 750 N. Carolina. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, May 2, 2025, at House Of Prayer Church Of God In Christ, 5940 Sean Haggerty. Graveside Service will follow at 2:00 PM at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
