I am saddened to hear about Pat's death. He was and will be forever in my heart. He was an inspiration to his family and friends. It is hard to realize that he is gone. Gone much too soon. It hurts to think what his family is going through.

Audrey Larson Wald and I had the the pleasure of meeting Pat in college. He and his brother Michael, belonged to the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. They were our next door neighbors at the University of North Dakota. Audrey and I were "Little Sisters" at the Pike House. Pat was always so much fun to be around. He was a true entertainer, and one of the nicest people we have ever met. Rest in Peace Pat. You made the world a better place.

Pat was such an advocate in helping so many people. In the times of working with one another, he always had a positive spirit and great sense of humor. I know he had connected many people that could be of help to one another, whether it be in business or just in everyday life. He was so great to work with along with his best friend Mike Hanrahan. They made things happen together. Thanks Pat, for believing in me when it came to business.
Pat will be missed by so many of us. Rest in peace Pat. My sympathies to the family.

I couldn't say it any better than Jeff Passolt, but I will try.
Pat was the most sincere person I have ever met. Our relationship started 20 years ago as he was my rep at KQRS, but turned into a friendship I will never forget. When Pat told me something, I believed him, not because he said it, but because he MEANT it. He earned my respect and admiration from day one, until the day he passed.

There are four important people in my life that I wish I could be more like; Pat was one of those people. He was truly one of my best friends. He was always quick to cheer, calm, and help others. When I think of the word friend, I will forever think of Pat so I thought of ways to express just what the word FRIEND meant to Pat.

Father -Pat was so proud of all his kids. He always spoke fondly about them
Religious -His Catholic Faith meant all to him, and he lived it every day
Innovative-He was continually thinking of ways to solve problems/opportunities
Entertaining - He was the most creative and funny persons. Always had a smile
Nice -Pat was nice to all. Even to those he didn't know. Always helping others
Dedicated-To God, Family, Friends and Career in that order.

God Bless Pat and his children.
RIP my FRIEND.

My wife and I were shocked, saddened and brought to tears when I received a call from Pat´s son Patrick on 12/26. I had just shared Christmas Greetings with Pat the day before. (He showed me a picture of him with his folks and Tony Bennett.. along with silly sound effects from the movie Elf.. so Pat! (Proud he got his folks to meet a legend but also being fun!) While I knew of Pat early in his radio days I really didn´t get to know the "real" Pat until he arrived at KQRS. We shared an immediate connection through many things in our lives. Of course I´d see him at work, but we also conversed at least a couple times a week over the past 15-plus years. The conversations always included news and sports headlines, and never ended without Pat´s trademarks.. humor, laughter, a check on my family and his pride for his children. In recent years Pat and his kids would visit us in Florida and spread that never ending joy!
Our hearts grieve with his siblings, extended family and friends.. as well as his beloved children.. Isabelle, John, Patrick and Christian. Kids.. your Dad was one of the nicest, kindest, generous and hard working men I´ve ever met. I hope knowing all this brings you some strength and pride. We all miss him dearly and share your tears, but also hope that we may one day be reunited with him in Heaven.
In deepest sympathy,
Jeff & Maryann Passolt
