With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Patience Dawn Lyons, who left us peacefully on Monday, July 28, 2025, at the age of 42. Born on July 26, 1983, in Nampa, Idaho, Patience dedicated her life to nurturing love and warmth within her family.

Patience was a devoted mother, sister, daughter, and friend. She will be deeply missed by her husband, Ignacio Sontay, and her two daughters, Rosa Sontay-Lyons and Mary Sontay-Lyons. She is also mourned by her mother, Teresa Ann Wilborn, and her husband, Frankie Wilborn, along with her siblings: Sherry Lyons Henson and her late husband, Thomas Henson; Diane Kirk and her husband, David Kirk, and their seven children; Shenia Wadley and her late husband, Reaco Wadley, and their two children; Paul Lyons and his wife, Linda, along with their four children; Robin Lyons and her wife, Deirdre Lyons, and their only daughter; her sister, Brittany Gann, and her spouse, Paige; and their brother, Robert Franklin, along with cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Patience was preceded in death by her father, Robert Dee Lyons, who was born on December 27, 1944, and passed away on August 13, 2013. She was also preceded by her sister, Wendy Henson; paternal grandparents, Ira Neal Lyons and Mary Alice Lyons, as well as their oldest son, Don Lyons; her paternal cousin, Dennis O'Brien; and her maternal grandparents, Martha Mills and Jerry Traylor, along with their son, Randy Traylor. She will also be welcomed by Melissa Lyons.

As we celebrate Patience's life, we invite family and friends to join us for visitation at Martin & Hightower Funeral Home on July 30, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A private cremation will follow in accordance with Patience's wishes.

Though Patience has left this earthly realm, her memory will live on in the stories we share and the love that binds us together. We will forever honor the time we were fortunate enough to share with her.
