Patricia Lee “Patty” Ahern, age 72, died peacefully on August 10th, 2024 surrounded by her husband and two sons at their home in Bowie, Maryland after a courageous battle with cancer.
Patty was born on June 26th, 1952 on Long Island, New York. She graduated from Bowie High School and pursued a career as a Cosmetologist. During her high school years, she was an accomplished equestrian, showed in Maryland Free State Competitions and excelled.
Patty is survived by her husband of 40 years, Patrick, and sons John and PJ, a sister, Barbara (Bill) Edlund; Elinor (Vincent) Convery, sister-in-law; Catherine Ahern, sister-in-law; Maureen Leahigh (Craig), sister-in-law, and Eileen (Martin) Heflin, sister-in-law; Cousins Ilene (Ken) Furrer and Ricky Sikorski.
Patty was regarded as a loving and caring woman, always willing to put others first. She touched many lives with her compassionate and generous spirit and her love of Jesus Christ.
The burial will be private and the celebration of her life will be announced at a later date.
