Patricia Hollifield Andeerson

SHELBY: With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Patricia Hollifield Anderson, who departed this world peacefully on March 30, 2025, in Cleveland County. Born on March 8, 1935, in Burke County, Patricia graced this earth with her presence for 90 years.

Patricia was a woman of profound kindness and unwavering devotion to her family. Her life was a testament to the love she held for her children, grandchildren, and friends. She possessed a gentle spirit that touched all those who knew her.

Throughout her life, Patricia found solace and joy in the written word. A passionate poet and writer, she channeled her thoughts and emotions into verses that resonated with many. Her dedication to lifelong learning inspired those around her, and her curiosity extended to exploring her family's history through genealogy, uncovering stories that connected past generations to the present.

Patricia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jim Anderson; her mother, Frances Crisp; and her sister, Charlotte McGalliard. She leaves behind a loving family who cherished her deeply: her sons, Bill Anderson of Mooresville and Joe Anderson of Waco; her daughters, Susan Anderson and husband Kelly of Charleston, SC, and Laura Bowen and husband Jeff of Grover; and her treasured granddaughter, Amelie.

Her warmth and generosity will be remembered fondly by family and friends alike. Patricia's legacy of kindness and her passion for learning will live on in the hearts of those she loved.
