Patricia Elizabeth Archuleta, a beacon of love and laughter, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2025, in Antonito, Colorado. Born in Twentynine Palms, California, on October 10, 1959, to Guillermo "Leroy" and Corinne Archuleta, Patricia's vibrant spirit and creative soul touched the lives of all who knew her.
Patricia's life was a testament to her strength and ingenuity. As a corrections officer, she dedicated her career to serving her community with integrity and compassion. Her inventive mind led her to become an inventor, always seeking to create and improve. Her Christian faith guided her through life, providing solace and purpose in all her endeavors.
Her passion for life was evident in her diverse interests. Patricia's love for horses was unmatched; she found joy in their grace and majesty. An avid softball player, she cherished the camaraderie and competition of the sport. Her sons, Valentine, Gabriel, and Matthew Ramirez, all of Brighton, Colorado, have fond memories of cheering her on at games and being inspired by her athletic spirit.
Patricia's artistic talents were as boundless as her imagination. A gifted painter and violinist, she brought beauty and music into the world. Her creativity extended to her love of science fiction, where she reveled in the fantastical worlds of Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Marvel's universe. Her enthusiasm for these stories was infectious, and she delighted in sharing them with her beloved sons and grandson, Demitri Ramirez.
Family was the cornerstone of Patricia's life. She kept her family united and well-informed, always ensuring they felt loved and connected. Her sister, Shirley "Melissa" Mendez of Stockton, California, and her brothers, Scott (Tracy) Archuleta of Apple Valley, California, Jerry Archuleta of Westminster, Colorado, and Wayne Archuleta of Thornton, Colorado, along with her father, Leroy Archuleta of Antonito, Colorado, will remember her as the glue that held them together. Patricia was preceded in death by her mother, Corinne Archuleta, and her aunt, May Rockstead.
Patricia's sense of humor was legendary. She could brighten any room with her wit and had the remarkable ability to make people laugh in any situation. Her endearing tradition of singing happy birthday off-key to her sons and grandson will be a cherished memory that continues to bring smiles to their faces.
Funny and loving, Patricia Elizabeth Archuleta will be remembered for the joy she brought into this world and the unwavering love she had for her family. Her legacy of laughter, creativity, and compassion will live on in the hearts of those she left behind.
Cremation was performed at Rogers Family Mortuary and Crematory and a Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish on Saturday, November 29, 2025 at 2 p.m. with Interment immediately to follow the service at Los Cerritos Cemetery.
