On the morning of April 15, 2025, Patricia Eubanks Arrington passed away peacefully due to natural causes at Arbor Terrace Memory Care in Acworth, Georgia. During her stay she kept her sense of humor and found ways to exercise her management skills.
She was born in Albertville, AL, December 12, 1946. Alongside her four siblings, she attended Boaz High School and graduated in 1965. She graduated from Auburn University in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science in Education. She was married to Roy W. Arrington from 1969 to 1982.
She began her career as a science teacher for Twiggs County High School in Je ersonville, Georgia, and went on to teach science at Baker Academy in Hawkensville, Georgia, and Holy Spirit in Huntsville, Alabama. She started a second career in 1982 when she joined Alfa Insurance from where she retired as District Supervisor in 2010.
Pat would tell stories of the antics of her students as well as the moments when she felt she had made a difference. With her coworkers at Alfa, she had some of her best memories and friendships. She enjoyed the annual work conferences, which were mostly held by a beach and where she won multiple awards over the years.
In retirement, Pat delighted in feeding the neighborhood cats as well as the local wildlife including a racoon, she named Rocco. She took pride in having a nice yard and cherished her relationship with her neighbors who later helped take care of her when her health started to decline. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. She loved watching them grow up and visiting whenever possible.
She was predeceased by her parents Leonard Grady and Lanell Smith Eubanks, her brothers Michael, Philip, and Johnny Eubanks, and nephew Benjamin Eubanks.
She is survived by her son, Addam C. (Mindy) Arrington of Franklin, TN, her daughter Adrienne A. (Todd) Korn of Kennesaw, GA, her grandsons W. Carter Arrington, Ames C. Arrington, Samuel A. Korn, Cooper A. Korn, her sister Cathy Eubanks, and numerous nephews and nieces.
The family would like to thank the staff at Arbor Terrace in Acworth, Georgia, as well as Trinity Hospice Care of Georgia.
There will be a Celebration of Life June 7, 2025 at Ardmore Methodist Church in Ardmore, Alabama. Visitation will begin at 11am and the service will start at 1pm.
