Patricia V. Avallone

Patricia V. Avallone of Rahway loving wife to the late Alphonse Avallone and daughter to the late George and Rita Hayes passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones at home on November 3, 2025.

Patricia was born and raised in Colonia, New Jersey with her three siblings; George, Kathleen and Ruthie. Patricia was the glue of the family, a pillar to the community, and a strength for all the devout Catholic attending St. Cecila's Catholic School.

Patricia found joy in spending quality time with her children and family. Every summer she would pack up and take her children to the beach on the weekends. Holidays were always spent together watching football while Mom cooked her love into every dish. She was very active and competitive, she loved shooting pool, playing darts, and bowling with her children cheering her on.

Patricia was always righteous and honest, even if telling the truth hurt. She was an inspiration to all around her. Patricia loved being a school bus driver and every child became her own. If you knew Patricia, you knew her as "Mom".

Patricia was the loving mother of Alphonse, Michael, Patricia, and Kevin. She was a cherished mother-in-law to Kimberly and a beloved grandmother to Prescilla, Trisha, Jessica, Michael and Emily. She also leaves behind her granddaughter-in-law, Kimberly, who held a special place in her heart, her great grandchildren Gianna, Angel, Logan, Elise, Ryan, Aric, Paislee and her great great granddaughter Penelope Violet.

Mom will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love and devotion for her family. Her home was always filled with laughter, comfort, and the aroma of her cooking. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and compassion that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Patricia's life at her viewing on Sunday, November 16, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Lehrer-Gibilisco Funeral Home located at 275 West Milton Avenue in Rahway, NJ.

On Monday, November 17, 2025, the funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 11:00 am. Burial will take place at St. Gertrude Cemetery located at 53 Inman Avenue in Colonia, NJ.
