Patricia Marie Barnes, 78 of Midland, passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at Nottingham Place in Midland. She was born April 9, 1947, in Jackson, Michigan. She was the daughter of Sterling and Margaret (Gaffney) Armstrong and graduated from Charlotte High School. On April 9, 1967, she married her husband, Kenneth Bert Barnes in Charlotte.
Patricia was a member of Christian Celebration Center, Midland, and had ministered to residents of Brittany Manor for several years. Pat enjoyed reading books, listening to music, doing puzzles, playing bingo, watching Hallmark movies and especially loved spending time with her family. She was a very sweet and kindhearted woman and will be greatly missed.
Surviving are her four sons: William Barnes of Ft. Smith, Arkansas, Timothy (Jennifer) Barnes, David (Jennifer) Barnes, Michael (Donna) Barnes, all of Midland. Grandchildren: Christina (Mark), Austin, Jessica, Stanley, Tara (Joshua), Timothy (Annelissa), Anna, Bethany, James, as well as twelve great-grandchildren, with numerous nieces and nephews. Surviving are her sisters Marilyn (Glen) Parker, Charlene (Bruce) Wakeman, Linda (Mike) Milner, and brother Jim (Pam) Armstrong.
Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Barnes (2006) and her parents Sterling and Margaret Armstrong.
Funeral services for Patricia were held September 11, 2025, at the Christian Celebration Center in Midland. Interment will take place in Midland Cemetery.
