Patricia Barton Obituary

Napoleon - Patricia Ann Barton, 83, of Napoleon, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2026. She was born in Adrian, Michigan on July 29, 1942, to the late Burton and Evelyn (Hamden) Freet. On September 3, 1977, Patricia married William Barton in Delta, Ohio.

Patricia was a bookkeeper / tax preparer for over 25 years. She was a member of the Moose Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was an avid Michigan fan, and enjoyed oil painting, crocheting and sewing in her free time. She loved playing euchre, poker, dominoes and many other card / board games. More recently she enjoyed scrolling through her iPad, playing games, watching Judge Judy and reading her Kindle books.

Patricia is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, William; children, Tracy (Tom) Metzger, Terry (Karen) Barton, and Timothy (Shoshannah) Barton; 14 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; siblings, Frederick (Linda) Freet, and Deborah (Daniel) Wachtman; and sister-in-law, Mary Freet. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son David Kinder; brother Richard Freet and stillborn daughter Terri.

Services will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Ridgeville Twp Fire Department. Online condolences and messages may be shared with the family at rodenbergergray.com. Arrangements entrusted to Rodenberger-Gray Funeral Home, Napoleon.
