Patricia Ann (Dixon) Blanton, aged 78, of Appling County, passed away Friday, June 13, 2025 at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross.
Ms. Pat was born September 3, 1946, to the late James Monroe “Rooster” Dixon, Sr. and the late Leila Thornton Dixon Surrency. She was a homemaker who loved her family. She was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and a faithful member of the Surrency Community Bible Church.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Blanton; a nephew, Cpl. James Monroe (Rooster) Dixon, III and a brother-in-law, Randall Beecher.
She is survived by her daughters, Debbie (Archie) Anderson of Athens, AL and Iris Blanton of Nahunta; son, James Kelly (Karen) Blanton of Nahunta; sister, Martha Beecher of Baxley, and brother, Jimmy (Sue) Dixon of Baxley. Eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and a special caregiver, Lakisha Denard, also survive.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at 11AM at the Surrency Community Bible Church with Rev. Gladwin Harper and Rev. Justin McLellan officiating. Interment will follow in Surrency City Cemetery.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, June 17, 2025 from 6PM until 8PM in the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home.
Active Pallbearers will be Preston Bryan, Austin Blanton, Christian Anderson, Connor Anderson, Kelliann Anderson, and Brandon Bowers.
Honorary pallbearers will be Low Country Cancer Center, Low Country Radiation, and Always Caring Home Health Care.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction and care of Swain Funeral Home.
