Obituary of Patricia Bock

Patricia Bock, a resident of New Canaan, Connecticut for 4 years died at Stamford Hospital on September 12th after a valiant fight with several illnesses.

Patricia was born on April 17, 1947, in Freeport, New York to Frank and Alice Lynch. She attended Holy Redeemer Elementary School in Freeport and graduated from St. Agnes High School and Molloy College in Rockville Centre, New York. She was a member of the Dominican Sisters of Amityville, New York for four years after high school.

Patricia received master's degrees in library science from St. John's University and in reading from Hofstra University. She was also awarded a certificate of Educational Administration from Hofstra University.

Patricia started her professional life as a librarian at the Freeport Memorial Library in Freeport, NY. She went on to have a long, rewarding career in public school education on Long Island with positions in Brentwood, Patchogue, Sachem and North Merrick School Districts. She was the Principal of Riverside Elementary School in Rockville Centre, New York for over 30 years, a position she truly loved.

Patricia is survived by her husband of 51 years Joseph; daughter Julia Loudon and son in law Chris; granddaughter Sage Loudon; son Jordan Bock and daughter in law Lauren; and grandsons Grayson Joseph and Austin James.

Patricia was a kind and loving person who spent her life shaping others. Her warm heart and generosity knew no bounds. Patricia was so deeply loved by all and would be incredibly missed.

A mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Aloysuis Roman Catholic Church in New Canaan with internment at Calverton National Cemetery, Riverhead, NY.
