Patricia M. Carr (nee Copley) passed away peacefully at home on September 26, 2025, surrounded by love. She was 86.
Born and raised in East Lansdowne, Patricia graduated from West Catholic Girls High School. Before starting her family, she worked at a local bakery and for PMA Insurance. A talented cook and exceptional baker, Patricia later shared that gift while working at Annunciation BVM Rectory after her children were grown.
Patricia had a deep appreciation for travel, especially with her beloved sister, Helen. Just last year, the two enjoyed a memorable trip to Maine together. A devout Catholic, Patricia’s unwavering faith provided her with great strength, particularly in her final months.
She was married for over 51 years to her beloved husband, Charles, who predeceased her in 2015. Patricia was the daughter of the late Mary Louise (Burns) Copley.
She is survived by her loving children, Rita Hamrick (John) and Charles Carr, and her cherished grandchildren: Amanda DeLizzio, Vincent Verdi, Nicholas Verdi (CeCe), Rebecca Verdi (Nick), C.J. Carr, and Lyndsey Carr. She also leaves behind one great-granddaughter, Natalie; her dear sister, Helen Ann McKenna (the late Robert); and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 9:30-10:45 AM Friday, October 10, 2025 at Annunciation BVM Church, 401 Brookline Blvd., Havertown, PA, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery.
