Patricia Coffman Obituary

Patricia Ann Coffman, born on October 2, 1941, in vibrant city of Louisville, Kentucky, departed this life on August 11, 2025. A beloved figure within her community, she was cherished not only for her warmth but also for her unwavering spirit and zest for life.

Patricia’s friendly demeanor drew countless people to her, for she possessed a rare ability to connect with others effortlessly. Those who were fortunate enough to cross her path often found themselves engaged in delightful conversations, privy to her candid thoughts and reflections. Her heart was as open as her mind, and it was this combination that made her a dear friend to many.

In the course of her fulfilling life, Patricia achieved notable milestones, most significantly obtaining her beautician's license and embarking on the entrepreneurial journey of opening her own business. This accomplishment not only exemplifies her dedication to her craft but also her adventurous spirit to forge her own path.

Patricia was a lover of life’s simple pleasures and indulgences. She thrived on the joyous experiences that came with socializing, dressing up, and dancing. Perhaps one of her most cherished escapes was her frequent jaunts to Disney World, where the enchantment of the park mirrored her own radiant personality. Equally at home in nature, Patricia found happiness in fishing, camping, and golfing, activities that allowed her to connect with the great outdoors. One of her proudest memories was a treasured trip to Ireland, which allowed her to embrace the beauty and culture beyond her familiar surroundings.

Her life, which unfolded primarily within the embrace of her beloved Louisville, was marked by an infectious enthusiasm for both the ordinary and extraordinary moments. A vibrant soul, she painted the lives of those around her with vivid colors of empathy, laughter, and joy.

Patricia leaves behind a legacy that emphasizes the value of connection, spirit, and ardor for life. As we gather to celebrate her memory, we are reminded to cherish both the friendships we cultivate and the experiences we share.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank "Bernie" Coffman; mother, Catherine Trager; step-father, Bernard Trager, Sr.; daughter, Tina Marie Huff; brothers, Tom Hazelwood and Bernard Trager, Jr.; sisters, Nancy Jean Trager and Caroline McCollum.
