Patricia Louise Delk

Muncie – Patricia Louise (Wade) Delk, 89, went to be with her Lord on September 3, 2021 at Bethel Pointe Health Center.
Pat was born December 12, 1931 in Champaign, Illinois, the only child of Bert and Nona (Foreman) Wade. Pat's childhood was spent in Illinois and her family moved to Muncie in her teenage years. Pat graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1949 where she met the love of her life Ken Delk. Pat and Kenny were married August 10, 1953. They were married 62 years until his passing in 2015. After high school, she attended Ambers Beauty School, becoming a hairstylist. When her children were raised, she became a teacher's aide for Muncie Community Schools working at Garfield Elementary for many years.
Pat leaves to cherish her memory four children: Jeff (Cathy) Springfield, Ohio; Suzan (Steve) Wagner, Muncie; Dan (Sherry) Delk, Albany, IN; and Rick Delk, Muncie. She was a loving grandmother and made many memories to be treasured by nine grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff at Bethel Pointe for the past five years of care and compassion.
Services will be 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel.
Family and friends may call from 4:30 until 6:00 p.m. on Thursday at the mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Riley Hospital for Children or the charity of your choice.
