DONEGAN--Patricia Anne, age 93, died November 9, 2022 in hospice care alongside family at home in her New York City apartment in Tudor City. She was predeceased by three sisters, Ruth Meaney, Jean Tarnacki and Jane Loftus, her brother, Ambrose Donegan, brothers-in-law Don Meaney, Walter Tarnacki and Vincent Loftus, sister-in law Patricia Donegan and nephew, Michael Donegan. Survivors include eight nieces, three nephews and extended family. A Catholic Mass in celebration of Patricia's life will be Saturday, November 19 at 10am at St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, East 43rd Street, New York, NY.

I loved Pat. She was bright, funny, always upbeat and what a memory. We were in a book club together. Many of our members lived in 2 Tudor City Place. Whenever we were trying to remember the title of a book we read Pat would be the one to come up with the title. She will be missed by many.

On Pat's 1st day at NBC she was sent to my office to meet her new boss, Gabe Pressman. I offered her a "Variety" to read, she looked uncomfortable. We established that we grew up about 6 miles from each other, she from New Brunswick, me from Perth Amboy. She knew relatives of mine living in N.B., also friends from my days at Rutgers (NJC). Pat was just a few months older than I. We shared MANY good times together in all the years since. She never missed calling me on my birthday (Lincoln's), 02-12-29. When I would pick up my phone I would hear, in a rough man's voice,
"My name is Abe. I've whiskers on my chin. I freed the slaves, my face is on the fin. I never told, nothing but the truth. Why oh why did you shoot me, John Wilkes Booth?
So, instead of my calling her today, 11/24, to wish her a Happy Birthday, I am writing this message with much love & warm memories. "Mickie"
