Patti Dostal, 74, of Hockley, TX, passed away in the comfort of her home, with her devoted loving husband by her side.

Patti was born October 2, 1951, in Spokane Washington and was a daughter of the late Joe and Jane Cobbs.

Patti shared 44 wonderful years and cherished days with her beloved husband Henry "Bubba" James Dostal. Together, they raised their daughter, Jennifer "Worm" Dostal, and were blessed with a granddaughter, Julia Koon, who carries on the spirit and strength of the Dostal name.

Patti is also survived by her brother, Tim Cobbs, and his wife, Margaret Cobbs, of Dodge, Texas. She is lovingly remembered by her brother-in-law, Terry Joseph Dostal and his wife, Susan Dostal, in addition to her sisters-in-law, Carol Love and Jane Spakes and her husband Jim Spakes; she leaves behind several loving nieces and nephews whom she adored and who brought her great joy to her life. Patti's memory will continue to live on through her extended family and dear friends who were blessed by her love and kindness.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Jane Cobbs; her brother, Jim Cobbs; and her parents-in-law, Henry James and Gladys Dostal.

Patti enjoyed a long and successful career with her beloved business, "Patti Cakes", where she became known for crafting the most beautiful, creative, and artistic wedding cakes, as well as any special occasion. Her talent was built upon a cherished family tradition, using a home recipe passed down to her by her mother-in-law, Gladys Dostal. Patti took immense pride and joy in her work, pouring her heart into every cake she made and bringing sweetness to countless celebrations over many years.

Patti had many passions in life, she enjoyed Lake Travis in Austin, Texas where she fell in love with her "honey bud", Bubba. In addition, her love for the Houston Astros. She wasn't just a fan-she was part of the team's spirit. Whether she was decked out head to toe in Astros gear or crafting handmade banners for every big game, her enthusiasm was unmatched. She collected every piece of memorabilia she could find-bats, caps, jerseys, you name it-and each one had a story behind it. For her supporting the Astros wasn't just about baseball; it was pride, community, and joy.

Faith was the foundation of Patti's life. She loved the lord and spoke with Him daily, offering prayers not only for her husband and family but also for friends and anyone who needed an extra touch of grace.

Though Patti has left this world, her spirit will live on in the love she gave so freely, the lessons she taught, and the memories she created. Her family will forever remember her as a woman of strength, grace, and unwavering devotion.

In honor of our beloved Patti, our family invites you to celebrate her life through kindness and giving. Patti's heart was always with the children of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and it would mean so much to her-and to us- if donations were made to St. Jude’s in her memory in place of flowers.
