Patricia Ann Runyan Dutt was born June 24, 1934, in Springview, Nebraska and passed away December 22, 2025 in Twin Falls, Idaho. She was the oldest of eight siblings. Seven of her siblings were red headed. Patricia was preceded in death by her mother Miriam Ruth Browns Runyan Sobotka Uptain, and her father Wade Lewis Runyan; husband, Ephraim Albert Dutt; brother, David Glenn Runyan; sisters, Ruth Verlee Runyan Combes Throckmorton and Carol Loraine Runyan; one child, Linda Kay Dutt Wetzstein Falconburg Bancroft; two granddaughters, Jamie Falconburg and Stephanie Ann Fraley Birkey.

Patricia is survived by three brothers, Charles Runyan, Larry Runyan and Kenneth Runyan; sister, Jeannie Sobotka Tilley; three children, Catherine, Earl and Mary; 12 wonderful grandchildren, whom many of them called her Grandma Flowers or Grandma Sassy; and 25 beautiful great grandchildren.

Patricia’s family moved from Nebraska to Idaho following Grandpa and Grandma Runyan. Bringing farm equipment, their horse Peg, and seven young children, it was a long slow trip. They moved to Buhl and lived in a house that was built out at the Hunt Internment Camp in Eden.

Patricia married Ephraim Dutt in 1950. They had four children: Mary Ann Dutt Slatter Fraley, Linda Kay Dutt Wetzstein Falconburg Bancroft, Catherine Sue Dutt, and Earl (Sheila) Lewis Dutt. They moved to Filer where all her children went to school.

Patricia finished her GED and went to cosmetology school. She then received a degree in bookkeeping at CSI and worked as a bookkeeper for many years. First, at Bradley Boiler in Twin Falls, then Scarrow Lumber in Jerome, and then Parks and Sons in Twin Falls. She also did the bookkeeping for her son, Earl, and he has a very successful business because of her expertise. After retiring, Patricia and Ephraim moved to Twin Falls, Idaho along Rock Creek Canyon.

Patricia loved gardening and animals, her favorites were horses, and dogs. Mom was great at training dogs. If she had trained dogs when we were little, us kids would have sit and stayed immediately the way all her dogs did! One of her favorite organizations was 4-H.

Patricia kept busy. She and Aunt Bonnie Gates opened a business called Forget-Me-Not on Washington Street. She provided lots of quality clothes for the family and the community.

Patricia continued to take classes in Woodworking and Botany at CSI. She exercised at the Twin Falls Senior Center and ate lunch there many days a week.

Sheila Dutt, Patricia’s wonderful daughter-in–law, made sure she had great care. Sheila made taking care of Patricia a priority and made wonderful health care decisions that helped Patricia’s quality of life.

In November of 2023 Patricia moved into Grace Assisted Living Memory Care Facility. There she had excellent care and quality of life. Alexia was curling Patricia’s hair the very first morning I checked in on her. Kathryn, the activity Director, and the other care givers provided Patricia with gardening, coloring, painting fingernails, fieldtrips to pumpkin patches, and even visited a school. Thank you Grace for caring for Patricia aka Pat.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm, Monday, January 5, 2025, at The Seventh Day Adventist Church, 131 Grandview Drive Twin Falls, Idaho 83301.

Following the service come share memories with the family at Mary Fraley’s home, 363 Ridgeway Dr., Twin Falls, Idaho.
